A few years ago, the American Jewish Committee in Berlin initiated a project to preserve the forgotten mass graves of Holocaust victims in eastern Europe. Together with the AJC we developed a website that documents the process of research on mass graves of Holocaust victims in Ukraine. The website is a work in progress since 2012 and isn’t online yet. On the platform, you will find background information on the region and on the political and social situation before, during and after World War II. As well as pedagogical informations about the research process. This website is meant to be maintained further in the future by local researcher and NGO’s.
