Soloshow

The starting point of the Solo Show project was the meeting of Natascha Sadr Haghighian (Berlin-based installation artist) with Uwe Schwazer from mixedmedia (a company for artwork production and development) during the installation of an exhibition. On the invitation of the Mambo (…) and based on her discussion with Uwe, Natascha decided to invent the fictional artist “Robbie Williams.” Together with mixedmedia she conceptualised and produced an installation exhibit in 2008 in Bologna. The companion book produced for the exhibit gives clues to the larger context. Solo show is an invitation to explore the myth of the solo artist and examine the ways in which contemporary art is produced.
