Urban Citizenship Revisited

In 2011 the Urban and Regional Sociology Program at the Humboldt University hosted an international symposium titled, Urban Citizenship Revisited. Rights, Recognition and Distribution in Berlin and Tel Aviv. The symposium’s participants set out to discuss and theorize the field of urban citizenship practices in Berlin and Tel Aviv. In addition to the conference proceedings, the printed material also provided the political background to the Berlin context and introduced the new forms of urban activism in the city.
